  1. Raees
    Shah Rukh Khan plays a gangster in prohibition-ridden Gujarat in the 1980s. Rahul Dholakia’s stylish drama of the damned sees Khan completely revamp his image. Sunny Leone dancing to Laila Oh Laila is already a talking point. Releasing on January 25.

  1. Jolly LLB 2
    Akshay Kumar starred in the stunning Airlift in January 2016. His first release for 2017 is another sure-shot winner. Kumar plays a wastrel lawyer whose life changes with an important case. It will be worth seeing if this sequel lives up to peoples’ expectations after the super success of Jolly LLB. Releasing on February 10.

  1. LEGO Batman
    The LEGO Movie allowed Will Arnett’s portrayal of Batman to steal the show, while the storyline is still mostly under wraps, there’s still been some crumbs promising hilarity. Releasing on February 10.

  1. Rangoon
    Kangana Ranaut, Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are directed by Vishal Bhardwaj in this love triangle set during the Second World War. This will be an interesting one. Releasing in the UAE on February 24.

  1. Logan
    Hugh Jackman has one last Wolverine picture in him, and that last film is coming in 2017 and it’s hard not to be excited that they’ll be sending Wolverine off witha bang. Releasing on March 2.

  1. Phillauri
    Anushka Sharma’s first production, NH10, was a whammy. Phillauri features Sharma with Udta Punjab star Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma, the wonder boy from Life of Pi. Debutant Anshai Lala directs this thriller set in rural Punjab. Releasing on March 24.

  1. Naam Shabana
    A sequel of sorts to the gripping Neeraj Pandey thriller Baby, Naam Shabana features the talented Taapsee Pannu in a full-on action role. Shivam Nair directs it which will be releasing on March 31.

  1. The Fate of the Furious
    There was legitimate doubt that we’d even get a Fast 8, especially after the fitting ending Paul Walker’s character was given at the end of Furious 7. Thankfully, Vin Diesel himself confirmed that The Fate of the Furious is fueling up for another go in the same slot it filled this year. Releasing on April 12.

  1. Bahubali: The Conclusion
    Arguably the most eagerly awaited sequel in the history of sequels in India, Bahubali: The Conclusion has a lot to prove to eager audiences. Whether director S.S. Rajamouli lives up to their expectations will be clear on April 28.

  1. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2
    There’s only so many times you can watch your Guardians Of The Galaxy before you go mad over having to wait so long for the sequel. Still, the sequel is almost here, and James Gunn promises the father of all conflicts in this next one. Releasing on May 5.

  1. Tubelight
    Salman Khan’s Eid release is directed by Kabir Khan. Need we say anything more? Releasing on June 26. Mark your calendars!

  1. Star Wars: Episode VIII
    If there’s any Star Wars announcement that excited the fan base more than J.J. Abrams being announced as the director, it most certainly has to be the announcement that Rian Johnson would be taking over for the middle installment of the continuing trilogy. Releasing on December 17.
